The Ignites is designed primarily for a player who wants the sleek and fast look of a running shoe, but needs something that can stand up to the excessive wear and tear associated with Netball. Feedback for the previous model was overwhelmingly positive, so the midsole/outsole of the shoe has been left unchanged. Most of the changes to this update observed in the new model revolve around the fit, comfort and performance of the upper. Features like Asymmetrical Lacing, PHF, and super soft upper lining materials help deliver exceptional fit and comfort levels. Mesh in the quarter panels (where the strain is not so aggressive) further reduces the weight of the shoe whilst making it more breathable. We have employed a wider tongue to open up the eyestay at the top of shoe, which accommodates Netballers using ankle braces / strapping. The wider tongue prevents gaps and stops the laces from resting directly on the surface of the foot. Aside from having an extremely lightweight Solyte midsole, the Netburner Ignites supports the foot by integrating an internal plate and stability cradle that has been purposefully designed to increase midfoot rigidity. The outsole is non-marking AHAR+ for fantastic durability and is wrapped around the midsole at the front to combat toe drag. Furthermore, a two piece outsole construction in the forefoot gives the shoe a more responsive feel for better on court performance. It is the combination of all these design features that makes this the complete Netball shoe – and places ASICS as the number one player in the Netball market. Sizes: 6-11,12,13
